A silly little post that’s exactly what the title says. Happy National Donut Day, everybody. 🥳🍩
David Del Toro: Old-Fashioned Donut

It’s not hip and new. With cracks on the surface, it may not look particularly impressive either. But the old-fashioned donut can compete with those trendy new desserts any day of the week. Underestimate it at your peril.
Valentina Belmonte: Chocolate Frosted Donut

Dark, decadent, and bad for you, the chocolate frosted donut does not apologize. It’s not trying to be healthy; no whole wheat flour or coconut oil here. It will mess you up, but you’ll love every second of it.
Leigh Morgan: Plain Glazed Donut

It doesn’t bother with frosting or sprinkles. It doesn’t have time for jelly fillings. It’s definitely not an artisanal donut. With no frills, the glazed donut is purposeful and expedient. It does one thing but does it well.
Dredarion Rath: Cream-Filled Donut

You think you’ve got it figured out after your first glance, but there’s more to this donut than meets the eye. Get a little closer, and you’ll discover that under the rough exterior it’s surprisingly sweet on the inside—or at least you will if your name’s Leigh Morgan. 😉
What’s your favorite donut? What donut would your favorite character be? Let me know in the comments.
Love this concept! 😄 My favorite donut is the espresso cream, made by a local shop. They used to sell via my favorite coffee place, which would have donut Fridays.
It’s one of the pre-Covid experiences I miss the most — chilling at The Mocha Lounge on Friday mornings with an espresso donut and a cold brew.
I’m thinking pre-*Chimes At Midnight* Toby would’ve fit that description (did I mention the cold brew has coffee ice cubes in it?)

Ooh. An espresso cream donut sounds amazing. 😋 And I hope whoever invented coffee ice cubes got a huge raise. That is brilliant.
