I saw this tag on Chonky Books and thought it looked fun. Who wants to share their own answers?
Read on the bed or the couch?
On the couch. I have the most comfortable couch, you guys. It’s huge, soft, and has the perfect corner to curl up in and read a good book.
Read at night or in the morning?
I read in the evenings on weekdays. I used to wind down after work by scrolling through social media but made the decision a while ago to cut that out and read more books instead. (Best decisions ever.)
On weekends, though, I’ll sometimes read in the morning.
Male main character or female main character?
Anywhere on the gender spectrum is good, though recently I’ve been reading a lot of female MCs.
First person POV or third person POV?
It honestly depends on what mood I’m in. I like a good sprawling fantasy book with a dozen third-person POVs but also like a tight story from first-person.
Trilogies or quartets?
To quote Jane Austen, “If a book is well written, I always find it too short.” Same goes for series. If it’s good and keeps up its quality through later installments, then the longer the better.
Libraries or bookstore?
I refuse to answer this question on the grounds it is cruel. How could you make me choose???
Books that make you laugh or cry?
I definitely prefer books that make me laugh. Reality causes enough tears. Fiction is an escape.
Black book covers or white book covers?
Neither. Give me COLOR.
Character-driven or plot-driven?
Character-driven. If I don’t care about the characters, I don’t care about the book. That’s my philosophy for both reading and writing.
And that’s it. If you want to give this one a try, consider yourself tagged.
