10 Great Urban Fantasy Book Quotes

I love a good book quote. I love urban fantasy. It’s not hard to figure out where the idea for this post came from. 😉

From funny first-person monologues to surprisingly deep insights gained between monster battles, urban fantasy has a lot of great lines. Here are a few of my favorites.

Spider's Bite Quote

I’ve talked before about how much I love Gin, the protagonist of the Elemental Assassin series. She does not play around.

Freyja's Daughter Quote

A good motivational quote from the heroine of Freyja’s Daughter.

Shadow Blade Quote

Technically, this quote is spoken by the villain, but hey–the guy’s got a point.

Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper Quote

Spoiler alert: something goes wrong.

Court of Shadows Quote

A mindset more of us need.

Trail of Lightning Quote

When fantasy novels get a little too real.

Elemental Quote

A threat that never scared off a private investigator in an urban fantasy novel ever.

Libriomancer Quote

Sounds like good reasoning to me. 🤔

A Key, An Egg, An Unfortunate Remark

Some consolation for those of us who never got to go to magic school.

The Memory of Ghosts Quote

Some words of wisdom from Bea in my urban fantasy short story The Memory of Ghosts, which you can read on the blog here.

And that’s it for now! What’s your favorite book quote? What urban fantasy protagonist do you think has the best inner monologue? Let me know in the comments!

If Kristen Brand could have any superpower, she'd want telekinesis so she wouldn't have to move from her computer to pour a new cup of tea. She spends far too much time on the internet, and when she's not writing, she's usually reading novels or comic books. Icon by @heckosart.
