Clockmaker has officially been re-released. I’ve been signing the paperback and hardcover rewards for those of you who contributed to the Kickstarter, (Thank you again for your support and patience!) and they’re just so pretty. Look!
You can get yourself a hardcover, paperback, or ebook copy on Amazon if you don’t already have one. I promise it will deliver swashbuckling steampunk adventure and gothic thrills. Here are some quotes from it that I’ve been making for Book Quote Wednesday on Twitter:
In my last update, I mentioned an untitled sci-fi that I was working on. That’s on the back-burner for now as I figure out where to go with the story.
At the moment, I’m writing the second of three novellas in an urban fantasy series called Dark & Otherworldly. It’s about a group of people infiltrating faerieland to free the human captives who’ve been spirited away, and I’ll be posting more teasers and info in the coming months. My goal is to publish it sometime this summer.
I’m also still working on my superhero vampire series, the first book of which is titled Blood Orchid. The only change here is that I’ll be self-publishing it independently, and I’m planning to have the first book out near the end of this year.
Yeah, you read that right. My plan is to publish not one but multiple books this year. As a slow writer who’s generally been on a book a year schedule since I released my first novel, I’m a little nervous but hopeful that I can pull it off. 🤞
And since I’ve been sharing book quotes, here are some from Blood Orchid. Interestingly enough, they’re all about the villain rather than the hero. If you like the Black Valentine, you’ll probably like Carmilla, too. She’s cut from the same cloth of classy, deadly supervillains who can occasionally be persuaded to do the right thing.
Lastly, I’ve been reading as well as writing, and I joined the #ArmedWithABingo challenge at the beginning of the year. It’s hosted by the review blog Armed with a Book and has been a fun way to track and inspire what books I read. Here’s my bingo board so far:
Alas, no bingos yet, but I’m having fun. If you want to join in, registration is open until March 15, 2020. You can find more info here.
And that’s all for me. I hope 2020 is treating you right. Here’s to all of us accomplishing our goals this year!
Kristen, that cover is amazing! The story sounds epic too.
