I am in love with this cover, you guys. I’ve saved a copy of it on my phone, and sometimes I just stare at it and sigh happily. It fits the atmosphere of the story perfectly, and I hope you think it’s as great as I do.

Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates! You’ve probably noticed it’s been pretty quiet around here lately. That’s because I’ve been spending every spare minute trying to finish Superhuman Disaster. I’m still hoping to get it out in December, in which case it’ll release on the 31st, but I may not make it. If that happens, I’ll post an update and announce the exact day in January it’ll come out.
In the meantime, enjoy the cover and blurb! Continue reading Cover Reveal: Superhuman Disaster
Do you like morally gray female protagonists? Enjoy a good old-fashioned revenge story? Then get out your To-Read List and add Kill Them All to the bottom, because I’ve got the book for you.
The release date isn’t for a few more months, but I couldn’t keep the cover a secret any longer. It’s just too awesome. Look at it!
Valentina Belmonte walked away from her supervillain career years ago. Having peaked at the top of the national Most-Wanted List, she now lives a quiet life with her husband and daughter, enjoying the Florida sun. Sure, she has to curb her violent and illegal instincts to stay under the radar, but her family is worth it.
Until they’re attacked. With her husband—a retired superhero and the closest thing she has to a conscience—hospitalized and on the brink of death, she’s done playing nice. She doesn’t know who attacked them or why, but she’ll wreak bloody destruction until she finds out. Nobody does revenge like a supervillain, but as her single-minded pursuit grows more violent, it threatens the only family she has left… Continue reading Cover Reveal: Kill Them All
Get ready for ghosts, airships, and adventure, everyone. I’m happy to announce another novel in the gothic steampunk world of Ghost Machine. If you read that book and loved the side character of Captain Melek, then I’ve got good news for you: she’s the main character of this spinoff.
Feast your eyes on this lovely cover:
The crew of the airship Sultana are nearly destitute. No one knows this better than their captain, Melek, who’s almost desperate enough to sell her treasured family heirlooms to pay her crew’s wages. Then a reclusive gentleman wearing a strange golden mask offers a fortune to transport him and a mysterious cargo to Istanbul. Needing the money, Melek can’t bring herself to refuse, even when her instincts warn of trouble.
Now strange noises haunt her airship at night, and deadly warships stalk the Sultana through dark, stormy skies. Melek’s masked passenger refuses to explain his private affairs, and she enjoys arguing with him perhaps a little too much. But he’s even more dangerous than she suspected, and she’ll have to unravel the dark intrigue he’s brought aboard her ship before it kills everyone on board.
Clockmaker will hit Amazon on March 5th. Follow this blog for previews and news until then.
It’s finally here! I’ve been anxiously awaiting the moment when I could show this to you guys, and that moment has arrived at last. I’ve been considering the cover for Almost Invincible for a while now and debating different ideas to go with. I think this book is even more fast-paced and brutal than Hero Status and Villainous, so I wanted a cover that had a thriller feel while still keeping that superhero vibe.
I think the final cover really nails it, and I’m super happy with the result. What do you guys think?
A theme park turns into a death-trap of sadistic supervillains…
White Knight is the most popular superhero in the country—which is bad news for David Del Toro, formerly White Knight, who retired from heroics years ago and just wants some peace and quiet. When the White Knight ride at a superhero-inspired theme park has a grand reopening, Dave is more than happy to pass off his complimentary tickets to his daughter and her friends and spend the day at home. But then the park gets taken hostage by supervillains.
The man known as Bloodbath spent the last decade in a maximum-security prison and blames White Knight for putting him there. He’s given an ultimatum: the hero comes to face him, or he’ll kill every tourist in the park. Dave barely managed to beat Bloodbath while in his prime and doesn’t like his chances now that he’s old and busted. But unless he does something, every innocent person in the park is going to die…including his daughter.
Almost Invincible hits the Amazon Kindle store on September 30th. Follow this blog or my account on Twitter to get notified as soon as it goes on pre-order.
Drum roll, please.
The Best Man, a short story prequel to Hero Status, will be released on March 31st. If you’ve ever been curious about Dave and Val’s wedding and whether they made it through the day without a supervillain attack (Hint: they did not.), then this is the book for you. Plus, Lady Nightmare has a big role, so if you read How Lady Nightmare Stole Captain Alpha’s Girlfriend and want more of her, this is a good place to start.
Check out the cover and blurb below.
Harris Holt has one job: to make sure his best friend’s wedding goes smoothly. But when his friend is a retired superhero marrying a former villainess, that involves more than just remembering the rings and making a good speech at the reception. Especially when a guy with a gun turns up at the wedding venue.
Now Harris has to keep a supervillain with a grudge from offing the bride and groom—and keep it quiet, or else the cops will crash the ceremony. With his own rusty superpowers and a murderous maid of honor for help, Harris needs to stop the bad guy before the happy couple gets cold feet…on their corpses.
The Best Man will be available on Amazon Kindle March 31st. Follow my blog by email for a reminder on release day!
So 2016 is almost over, and I haven’t put out a single new book all year. (Thank you, incredibly stressful and busy new job.) Although I haven’t had much time to write, I do have a book I wrote before Hero Status that has been sitting alone and unread on my harddrive.
Say hello to Ghost Machine:
