Remember me? I’m Kristen Brand, writer of urban fantasy, cozy mystery, and superhero fiction, and I went on hiatus last year after the birth of my son. But I’m happy to announce that I’m writing again!

My last blog post was in May of 2024. Since then, I’ve changed hundreds—if not thousands—of diapers. I’ve gotten pretty great at doing fun character voices when reading children’s books. And I learned how to crochet. Check out the jackalope I made.

And now that my son is (finally) sleeping well, I’ve gotten back to writing. My priority is finishing the second book in my urban fantasy series, The Shadow Journals, and the fourth and final book in the Texts From Beyond paranormal cozy mystery series.
