Announcing the Secret Stairs Anthology

You mustn’t talk about the stairs.

There they stand, surrounded by nothing but forest, pristine as the day they were built. No sign remains of any other structure around them, no ruins of long forgotten buildings. They look… wrong. They feel wrong. Bad things happen if you get too close. Horrible things.

You must never, ever ever talk about them.

Thirty-four of today’s best up and coming writers provide wonderfully unique interpretations inspired by the urban legends of the Internet age. Tales range from science fiction to fantasy, horror to mystery, and one writer even penned a romance!

But you must never tell anyone about the stairs!

Secret Stairs Cover

Last year, I came across a call for short story submissions about stairs in the woods, the urban legend of creepy stairs standing alone in the middle of a forest. Inspiration struck, and I wrote a story about Ella and Viktor from The Ghost Machine. Set after the events of the novel, it features a mysterious staircase that’s the center of ghostly happenings, and–well, you’ll just have to read it to find out. 😉 Continue reading Announcing the Secret Stairs Anthology

Clockmaker is Live!

Grab your steampunk goggles and get ready to board the airship Sultana, everybody. Clockmaker is now available on Amazon.com. Go download a copy for your Kindle or Kindle App.

I first announced this book a few months ago and have been talking about it and posting excerpts on Twitter, so I’m happy to finally be able to share it with all of you. I hope those of you who read The Ghost Machine will like Captain Melek’s solo adventure. But this is a spinoff, not a sequel, so you can still read and understand the story if you never read The Ghost Machine. If the cover and blurb intrigue you, I hope you’ll give it a try.

Clockmaker Cover

The crew of the airship Sultana is nearly destitute. No one knows this better than its captain, Melek, who’s almost desperate enough to sell her treasured family heirlooms to pay her crew’s wages. Then a reclusive gentleman wearing a golden mask offers a fortune to transport him and a mysterious cargo to Istanbul. Needing the money, Melek can’t bring herself to refuse, even when her instincts warn of trouble.

Now strange noises haunt her airship at night, and deadly warships stalk the Sultana through dark, stormy skies. Melek’s masked passenger refuses to explain his private affairs, and she enjoys arguing with him perhaps a little too much. But he’s even more dangerous than she suspected, and she’ll have to unravel the dark intrigue he’s brought aboard her ship before it kills them all.

If you like gothic thrills and swashbuckling adventure, then you won’t want to miss this exciting steampunk novel. Download Clockmaker now and take to the skies!

Rogues: The Omega Superhero Book Four (Omega Superhero Series 4)

Rogues

To the supervillain, the superhero is the bad guy.

The world calls them superheroes. I call them self-righteous do-gooders who stand between me and world peace, order, and prosperity. All under my wise, ironfisted rule, of course.

Before I can assume my proper place as the world’s leader, I and my band of superpowered Rogues must first destroy Theodore Conley, the licensed superhero known as Omega. Not only is Omega responsible for the death of my beloved daughter Neha, but the power he wields is a threat to my plans for global domination.

My name is Doctor Alchemy. People call me many things: Rogue, supervillain, madman, vengeful father, and king.

Soon they will call me the man who killed Omega.

Villains Don’t Save Heroes!

by Mia Archer

Villains Dont' Save Heroes Cover

Sequel to Villains Don’t Date Heroes!

Night Terror, the greatest villain Starlight City has ever known, finally had it all. A beautiful girl she couldn’t get enough of. The city finally sort of liked her after she saved it from a giant robot attack. Now it was time to live happily ever after, right?

Yeah, right.

It turns out saving the city and getting the girl was only the beginning of more trouble. She wanted to be Starlight City’s villainous overlord, not the city’s heroic savior. The girl she can’t get enough of is also the world’s greatest hero, which made for a relationship that takes “it’s complicated” to a whole new level.

Oh, and there’s a new villain in town looking to take a shot at the queen. Night Terror’s old nemesis Dr. Lana makes a hell of a villainous debut using tech she stole from Night Terror to rob Fialux of her powers! Now Night Terror has to deal with a new challenger and a hero who’s still trying to save the world despite her dangerous lack of the flight, strength, and invulnerability that used to keep her in one piece.

Villains aren’t supposed to save heroes, but that’s just what she’ll have to do if she’s going to get the girl, save the day, and defeat her new archnemesis.

It’s all in a day’s work for the world’s greatest villain!
